On July 16th, 2025, the Rapids Riders ATV Club, along with members from North Woods Quads in Hill City and Red Rock Riders from Pengilly, gathered at the Shinglemill access point of the UPM Blandin trail in Itasca County, Minnesota. We organized an ATV ride accompanied by a picnic-style lunch for 46 staff members and clients of Itasca Life Options.

More than 17 club members, business owners, and representatives from the Itasca County Sheriff’s office, as well as the Grand Rapids Police Department, joined ATV enthusiasts who brought their ATV SXSs to take part in this fantastic event. Although the weather was slightly rainy and muddy, it added to the excitement of the ride. We all took a break for a delightful lunch featuring hot dogs, chips, water, and plenty of laughter and smiles all around.

We were fortunate to have several wonderful local businesses contribute to making this ride such an incredible adventure. A special thanks goes to the Trails Inn Motel & Campground for providing a couple of SXS Rentals, as well as Arrow Embroidery, Rick’s Electric, the Itasca County Sheriff’s Office, the Grand Rapids Police Department, and the Grand Rapids Park & Rec Department for their generous support in making this outing a success and enjoyable for everyone.

Most importantly, we want to express our gratitude to Lisa, Sonia, and the entire staff and clients of Itasca Life Options for allowing us to be part of this remarkable event. We cherished the opportunity to create so many memories, smiles, and laughter that will last a lifetime. We can’t wait for next year!
